Lost in Central Park...

On Tuesday morning, I decided to venture forth into Central park as dawn was breaking forth and snapped photos (see attached) of some vibrant scenes depicting the end of fall, more statues, ponds, typical sights, etc. After walking 45 minutes, I realized I was lost...thought I was walking west to our apartment, but had actually traveled east to 5th Avenue.  Oh well...See the building below!  It was time to open my Google  MAP app and navigate my way home! 1 hour later I arrived home safe and sound.
Looking eastward to 5th Ave and 79th! Not where I wished to be!

Baby ducklings enjoying a cool fall swim

Typical seating along many of the major paths. The street lanterns are so charming.

Looking westward toward Central Park west and almost home.

The last vestiges of Fall.  Snow is on its way.

Grandkids would have a blast rolling in all these leaves.

The Boathouse--a popular place to eat within the Park.

Outside dining is very popular in NYC--the chrysanthemums are still alive  and well.

Bicycle rentals are available as bicycling is a favorite activity in and around the park.

Another caption of the Boathouse.

Love this footbridge which crosses the largest lake within then park.

The architecture reminded me of Europe.

Central Park lake with Southtown as a backdrop reminding me that I am still in busy, bustling NYC.

God bless America.

As dawn was breaking I captured a movie crew in the Park about to tape a commercial.

Removing the temporary blockage/ barricades (no one allowed in Park for 2 days except runners) of the  NY Marathon run two weeks previous.

Workers preparing the Park for winter by removing dead plants, etc.
Winer is not far behind...
