Memorable visit to the Payson Temple, Friday, August 28, 2015

We experienced a "little bit of heaven" last Friday as we visited the Payson LDS Temple in Payson, UT, and performed sacred ordinances.  As Uncle Ross stated, "it is the closest thing to Solomon's Temple" in grandeur and beauty that he has ever seen!  As a graduate in architecture from Rice University, that's saying a lot.  Truly the interior is exquisite and a work of art from the baptist to the celestial room, but the peace and tranquility felt inside equals all temples.  It's interior was specifically designed to reflect the historical heritage and pioneer flavor of the area such as an apple motif found throughout in the carved carpet and upholstered chairs, quilting patterns, etc.  Atop the dome of the temple stands Angel Moroni reminding all that the Savior will come from the East.   Enjoy a few photos below... (google Payson Temple and read more...)
